Pyörä/ bicycle

Keveättä ja kesää odotellessa voi miettiä pyörän kunnostusta. Tämä on hyvin vanha projekti, mutta sopii hyvin kevään kynnykselle.

While waiting the spring to proceed towards a summer it is good time to think fixing a bicycle for a new season. This is a very old project but seemed just right for the time.

Kynttilä hiekassa/ Candle in sand

Kokeilut tuikkukynttilöiden kanssa jatkuvat. Tässä kynttiläasetelma pöydällä shabby chic -huoneeseen menossa.

Experiments with artificial tealights continue. Here is a candle arranngement on a table for the shabby chic room.

Lintukokoelma/ Bird collection

Kartanon emännällä, Matildalla, on harrastus. Hän kerää posliinilituntuja kartanoonsa - aivan kuten Ruotsin kuningatar Lovisa Ulrika Kiinapalatsiinsa. Loviisa Ulrika vain keräsi Fenix-lintuja. Matildan linnut ehkä ovat hieman tavanomaisempia. Tosin hän on jo laajentanut papukaijakokoelmaansa, mutta se ei näyt vielä tässä. Kokoelman sijaitsee makuuhuoneen portaikon sivuseinällä.

The mistress of the manor, Matilda, has a hobby. She collects porcelain birds in her manor - just like Swedish queen Lovisa Ulrika in her China palace in the Drottingsholm castle. With the difference that Lovisa Ulrika collected Fenix birds. Matilda's bird species are not so rare. However, she has already extended her collection with a couple of new parrots (not seen here yet). The collection is situated on the wall of the bedroom's stairs.

En ole ihan varma, onko tämä tyylini... osaan kyllä tehdä nuhjuista, mutta että tyylikästä yhtä aikaa. On jo ikävä 1700-luvun symmetriaa ja harmoniaa, mutta nykyaikaani näyttää kuuluvan tavaranpaljous sekä 1:12- että 1:1-koossa.

I am not hundred percent sure if this is my miniature style after all. I can sure do shabby but chic at the same time - not sure. I already miss the symmetry and harmony of 18th century, but my modern time (both 1:12 and 1:1) appears to be full of stuff and things.

Shabby chic: tyhjä huone/ empty room

Seinät, lattiat ja ikkunat ovat valmiit. Ikkunaverhot ovat ns. huolettomat.

The walls, floor and windows are ready. Curtains are very care-free.

Illan tullen takan edessä istuskellessa on mukavan lämmintä. Voi myös katsella isoista ikkunoista avautuvaa järvimaisemaa ja nauttia rauhasta ja hiljaisuudesta.

In the evening it is nice and warm to sit in front of the fireplace or enjoy the lake scenery opening from large windows and enjoy the peace and quiet.
