The food of the day is a Runeberg's tart. Johan Ludvig Runeberg is the national poet of Finland. He was born on 2nd of February in 1804 and died in 1877. He wrote patriotic books and poems and was a central figure to create Finnish nationalism of 19th century. By profession he was firstly journalist and then later a teacher. It is told that he ate one of these tarts every day in cafeteria. In addition her wife, Fredrika, had an own recipe of a very similar tart, so he certainly got his share of pastries.
