Uudenvuoden lahja, the new years giveaway

The ladies of the manor have been so enthusiastic about cabinet dollhouses that they do not have any room left for all of them. So they decided to give this one to another house/ manor with "doll ladies" who share the same passion for dollhouses.

Arvon tämän 1:144 nukkekodin uudenvuoden päivänä kaikkien tämän vuoden loppuun mennessä vuoden 2011 blogituksiani kommentoiden kesken, arvonnassa yksi kommentti on yksi arpa ja tyttäreni toimii onnettarena.

I will draw a lottery on the 1st of January among all who have commented my this year's blog texts by the end of the year. One comment is one "lottery ticket". My daughter will be the Lady Luck drawing the winning lot. I will send this 1:144 house to the winner.

Hyvää Uutta Vuotta! Happy New Year!

Puutarhan saa myös pois. The garden can be taken out as well.

1:144 kaappikartano, 1:144 manor cabinet

Kartanon rouvat tässä ihastelevat uusinta hankintaansa, tuliterää tukkekeotikaappia, jota he ovat jo alkaneet sisustaa. Kaappi on tilattu kylän puusepältä.

Kaappi on koottu Tadpoles:in kitistä ja huonekalut ykköskerroksen peililipastoa lukuunottamatta ruotsalaisista kiteistä.

Ladies of the Fjärilsgård manor admire their newest purchase, a cabinet manor which they have already started to furnish.

The cabinet is built of a Tadpoles' kit and furniture (except a mirror drawer of the first floor) are built of Swedish kits.

"Avataan se", "Let's open it"

"Oi, kylläpä siitä tuli hieno, meillä Fjärilsgårdissa ei edes ole noin upeita tapetteja ja hienoja mattoja", "Oh, it is so beautiful, even we do not have so fabulous wall decorations and carpers at Fjärilsgård"

Aikamatka uusrokokoohon, Time travel to new rococo

Itse tein uusrokokooboxin. Saimme Viipurista kertovia kirjoja malleiksi, joiden kuvista tuli valita jokin huoneen esikuvaksi.

This room project is not linked to my manor project but it was nice for a change. A couple of years ago a group of four Finnish miniaturists made a project comissioned by the Vyborg castle museum in Russia of period rooms to the exhibition which presented the time of the Finnish autonomy, period 1809-1917 when Finland was a part of Russia before the independence. I made a new rococo room. I was given a couple of books of photos from which I could choose one room that I shoud "copy".

Trymoo-peiliin on käyetty erilaisia puuosia, muovia, pahvia, koristenauhaa, peiliä jne.

A long mirror has different bits and pieces of wood, cardboard, ribbon, plastic and mirror.

Sohvaryhmä on tehty tuunatuista puuvalmiista kalusteista. Pöytään on lisätty S-kaaria puujauhosta tehdyllä massalla. Samaa on käytetty myös verholautoihin

The sofa group has modified from a white wood furnitre. S-curves have been added to the table from paste which has been made from wood powder.Same paste has been used to curtain boards.

Huoneen yksityiskohtia. Details of the room.

Lipasto ajanmukaisine esineineen. A dresser with the period items.

Kaikki kartanoni nuket on tehnyt nukketaiteilija Taru ja itse olen ne vaatettanut. Tässä boxissa ne on hän myös pukenut.

All dolls of the manor have been made by doll artist Taru and I have made the dresses. In this project she has also dressed them.

24 December

Jouluillallinen tarjoillaan kartanon posliinisalissa. Monissa kartanoissa 1700-luvulla oli ns. posliinihuone, jossa talon parhaat posliinit olivat esillä vitriineissä. Aasiasta tuotetut posliiniastiastot ja -esineet olivat talon emännän ylpeys ja osoittivat kartanon varallisuutta. Hyvää ruokahalua!

Christmas dinner is served in the china room. Many manors of the 18th century had so called china room, where the best china dinner sets and other china items were displayed. China sets imported from Asia were the pride of the mistress of the manor and showed the wealth of the household. Enjoy your Christmas dinner!

Hyvää Joulua, Merry Christmas

Tämä ei ole minikuusi vaan ihan oikea, juuri äsken koristeltu. Hyvää Joulua Kaikille!

This is not a miniature but a real thing - just decorated. Merry Christmas to All!

Joulukortti, Christmas card IV

Kaikki on nyt valmista joulun viettoon Fjärilsgårdin kartanossa. Ruoka on valmistettu ja lahjat paketoitu. Enää yksi yö jouluun.

Everything is ready for Christmas at Fjärilsgård manor. Food is prepared and gifts have been wrapped up. One more night until Christmas.

23 December

Aloitetaan jouluruokailu voileipäpöydästä. 1700-luvulla juhlavaan ateriaan kuului aina voileipäpöytä, jossa oli maustettuja viinoja ja pieniä suolaisia syötäviä.

Let's start Christmas dining with table of hors d'oeuvres. In 18th century a festive dinner always included hors d'oeuvres consisting of spiced liquoirs and small salty starters.
